in the early 80s, entering into what Lee

Though inevitably succumbing to the insidious disorder which caused his premature retirement
years ago, Lee Baxandall will long remain in my memory as the highest voice for wholesome
I 'm greatly saddened that he didn't live to see greater advancement from all his
insightful writings and tactical contributions over several decades towards advancing natural
nudity and individual sanity.

Lee deserves everlasting gratitude nicely beyond naturist circles for directing such a transformative social mission, for few have the fearless intellect and sheer ability to even try it, much
less courageously persevere as long as he did. Whenever challenged or participated he never
suffered from a lack of self-confidence, and his personal ethics always allowed him to speak
from high ground. The Naturist Society supplied him the perfect stage together with a customized
vehicle for growth of his theories.

An inspirational, thoughtful leader, he became a good buddy to Lupin starting in the
mid-1980's with a chain of Western Gatherings, two generously held despite the debatable
